National Seminar on Soil Security: Challenges and Strategies

World Soil Day (WSD) is held annually on 5 December as a means to focus attention on the importance of healthy soil and advocating for ensuring sustainable management of soil resources. This year’s WSD theme, “Caring for Soils: Measure, Monitor, Manage,” emphasizes the essential role of accurate soil data for  understanding soil characteristics supporting sustainable soil management for food security. The department of Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry, College of Agriculture (Kerala Agril. University), Padannakkad is celebrating WSD by organizing a national seminar to address the major issues threatening soil health and soil resilience through expert discussions and presentations.
